We do not collect any personal information from any of our visitors.  Just like you, we value our privacy and will never ask you to share any personal information with us.  Our stat counter collects low level, general information (i.e. browser, screen resolution, language, etc.) to enable us to continue the development of our website to meet the needs of our visitors.

If you notice a typo or inconsistency, we prefer that you send us a message using the Contact page rather than posting a comment.  We ask this since once the error is corrected, your comment will remain but other people won't know what you are talking about.

Posting on VGCL is very easy.  Our commenting system is powered by Disqus, which is used by over 700 million users across some of the largest sites on the web.  You can comment with Disqus using your social networking accounts (such as Facebook or Twitter), a Disqus account or by using a guest name (email address required).  We have each set up an account with Discus and can personally attest that our information has not been shared nor do we get any unsolicited emails.  Comments are posted immediately, although if a posting contains a link it must first be approved prior to being published.  This is done to ensure that we keep our website free of spam and other self-promoting interests that do not contribute meaningful information for our visitors.

Our website is family-friendly, with many young users visiting to learn about the history of the video game console.  Language should be kept within a PG-13 level.  Vulgar language is not allowed (whether typed or insinuated).  This also applies to the use of any kind of offensive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate material deemed unsafe for younger audiences.

Please refrain from posting provocative, outrageous or pointless messages only to get a response from others, i.e. "trolling."  Spirited debate is A-OK, but please be respectful when addressing others.  If it is abundantly clear that a commenter has no intention of positively contributing to the discussion, the comment will be deleted.

The comment section is provided to enable the gaming community to share their expertise.  You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this website.  If we deem that a posting contributes little (or is factually incorrect), then we reserve the right to delete the posting without notice.
